Japan, land of the rising sun. Be prepared for a culture shock, as Japan do things alittle differently from the Western world. Bright, colourful and very quirky, Japan really has to be seen to be believed. Toyko is a cutting edge technology city with many people that can be very pricey. On the flip side of the coin, the traditional Japanese villages celebrate Japans past, and can be very rewarding to anyone going for swords, Samurai and honor. If you can try seeing both of the sides that Japan has to offer, as it will show the vastness of the culture. The translation may be a little difficult, as the Asian languages are considered difficult to master, so picking up some Japanese before you go will be helpful to you.
Italy. Home of romance and culture and good food. A good place to take that special someone for that clichéd gondola ride. For anyone who loves the idea of the historical architecture and the great cuisine this can be a brilliant place, just make sure when visiting Venice your catch it at the right time, as it can get extremely busy during the tourist season. Dont fancy Venice? Milan, is worth a look for those more fashion conscious amongst us and will still have that great architecture.
India. While the rest of the world's economy struggles, India's has seemed to pick up, so what better chance to visit? India's Bollywood is one of the largest film industries in the world, rivalling that of Hollywood itself, but with more song and dance. The amount of money coming into the country has seen them bring in some big named players for the upcoming cricket tournament, which although is now being held in South Africa for security reasons it still has the India name on it.
